I haven't blogged in a while, so this seemed like a fun way to jump back into it! First and foremost, WE. SOLD. OUR. HOUSE.
And we also bought a house.
As I shared on Instagram, we haven't had settlement on either house, which is a weird in-between place to be. We hosted a family dinner for my mom's birthday this past weekend, and it will probably be the last time we host anything in our first house...because now we'll be packing extra dishes away and the house will fill up with packed boxes. Almost all the kids' toys are packed, and we're starting to pack up storage areas and closets and such now! When do you pack all your clothes up? Last? The day before you actually move? I literally don't know what I should be doing. When do I pack up all the ingredients in my kitchen pantry? The day before we move? A week before we move?
In spite of all the house stuff, our weeks have been full of play dates, visits to this zoo and also this one, and having a blast at our local pool. It's hard to balance having fun with the kids with the feeling that I should be home packing up our whole lives. By the time we get back from a morning out, I'm totally drained and don't have the energy to pack things!
We are hoping that by the end of next week, we'll be in our new house, which means a good place to find me will probably be over on Instagram/my Stories since who knows if I'll have time to really write here in this space.
