Spring is Here!

Spring. Hi. It's here.

I just pulled all my summer clothes out of our storage room, and it was like HELLO OLD FRIENDS I'VE MISSED YOU. I honestly forget about most of the jean shorts I'd accumulated and my favorite romper and sundress that had also been packed away amongst the beach towels and swimsuits. (I'm unspeakably jealous of you guys who get to keep your bathing suits out year round.)

I usually try to write around Easter, but that just didn't happen this year. Instead, I let you all in on my secret confusion about Easter baskets (here) and shared a tiny bit about why it's my favorite holiday here. With Easter in mind though, and having recently celebrated that Jesus rose from the freakingggg dead (!!!), I'm even more excited for the fresh "start" of spring.

We're officially out of our winter hibernation, the winter coats can be packed away. Emma's drawers are filled with adorable hand-me-down summer dresses, and I've got 4T shorts on my thrifting list for Aiden. Our plans consistently involve going outside, whether to enjoy the new backyard swing we set up or draw with chalk on the sidewalk or go to the zoo (again and again).

I mowed our backyard (which currently has grass, until the trees grow leaves and the shade kills it all....) which took about 40 minutes, and by the end of it? I was actually sweating and IT FELT GREAT. (Not great enough for exercise to be on my daily to-do list. 😉 But productive and fun and warm and happy and outside. Such a win.)

The beginning of spring is already exciting, and we've got a lot planned! This weekend, I'll take a quick roadtrip with a friend to Courtney's baby shower in the Pittsburgh area. 3 days after that, we head to Nashville to see my sister graduate from college, and when we get back? Our house gets photographed and officially put on the market! Whew!

I can't wait to share more about the roadtrip to Pittsburgh, seeing Nashville, and all the craziness of getting a house staged when you have 2 little kids haha.

So tell me, what are you excited about this spring?  What's on your to-do list once the weather gets nice?
