September is my absolute favorite--HELLO BIRTHDAY MONTH--but also, the weather is gorgeously warm yet not oppressive, and our mornings at the park with friends are gloriously sunny and uncrowded by older kids and camps!

Do you love September and how it's the perfect bridge from summer to fall? I do. Also. Like I mentioned. My birthday! (I childishly am so excited about this.)

Speaking of birthdays, we celebrated my adorable nephew turning two a few weeks ago, which is where these funny pictures of Aiden + Emma are from! Apparently the only way to get a photo with both kids in it is to put a plate of cupcakes in front of them?? Anyway, thanks to Anne for hosting this fun Currently linkup.

Here's what we've been up to currently:

Making
Taco bar fixings! This past weekend, we hosted a going away party for best friends from our church's small group and we served tacos. I'll share more about this gathering later, but let me just say that a taco bar is the best way to serve something that can be dairy-free and vegetarian without forcing everyone to eat with those restrictions. Plus, put cilantro and lime on anything and I'm in LOVE.

Taking
All the recommendations for Emma's second birthday theme in October! I have this Pinterest board going, and I shared about her pumpkin patch first birthday here. Can I just make chili and do pumpkins every year??? 😉

Discovering
All the cute things for the new baby's nursery, like this Moses basket bassinet (affiliate link). My little family of 4 walked through at At Home yesterday, a new Home Goods-esque store that opened near me. It's like a warehouse like Sam's, but with all the cute home decor and furniture like Ikea/Home Goods. I'm taking notes on what rugs and cute things I want to put in the new baby's nursery!

Consuming
New Girl on Netflix! My husband and I went through The Office, Arrested Development, and now we're back on what I think might be my favorite sitcom of all time. Schmidt + Cece, Nick's grumpy old man ways...all of it is hilarious. (What are you watching these days?)

Saving
A small portion of my sanity by listening to Magic School Bus audiobooks in the car with my kids! We get them from the library on the Hoopla or Libby app, and they seriously save my life when both kids are cranky or arguing.

What have you been up to lately? Any second birthday theme ideas?
