Currently // January 2017

If I were in school (teaching, or as a student) these days, I'd be pretty freakin' frustrated after having to cross out 2016 for the 1,000th time on the top of my papers because WHY IS IT SO HARD TO REMEMBER IT'S A NEW YEAR WHEN WRITING THE DATE. I'm excited for this new year, celebrating Aiden's first birthday in a few weeks, and keeping my Christmas tree green and smelling fresh as long as possible/til February.

Currently I've been...

Gathering: my immediate family, on Christmas Eve. They all came to my church for the Christmas Eve service and to my house afterwards for dinner and presents. Do you know how hard it is to get 5 adults + 1 high schooler together in the same place?! So our time all together was especially sweet (see the siblings pic below!).

Making: these bite-sized mint hot cocoa cookie cups, on repeat for every holiday party.

Sipping: A BRAND NEW MOCKTAIL RECIPE I CAN'T WAIT TO SHARE. It's a secret until then.

Following: my friend Courtney's brand new blog, Sacred Stories!!!!!! Go read it!!! I've been telling her forever to start a blog because she takes great pictures and has interesting things to share and is just the cutest person ever. That's right, she's also the creative lettering talent behind Wild Cedar Co., which we started together!

Resolving: to not make resolutions because my love for being different outweighs my love of lists...? At least for now. Maybe I'll blog/write a few goals down and share them (in a sassy, self-affirming "I'm still different!" kind of way.)

Also, "Friendsmas" is just as fun as Friendsgiving, especially when it's "bring your own Christmas dessert"-themed and your favorite people are there (pictured above).
