New Favorite: Colony House

Last time I shared a new favorite band, it was way back in March when I talked about the band The Arcadian Wild (which I'm still listening to! It's so calming, which is perfect for trying to settle a cranky baby!).

Now, I want to highlight Colony House, the indie rock band that sounds like...Relient K (on RK's Birds and the Bee Sides album). Male singer? Guitar? Good melodies? Yeah, that.

GET THIS: 2 of the 3 band members are Steven Curtis Chapman's kids. Thankfully, this band sounds nothing like their dad's music (no offense. I respect that as a solid 90s option, but I'm not 55 years old.)

The chorus of "Silhouettes" goes like this:

Driving down a road, down a road that's rolling
All the lovely memories your heart’s been holding
Nothing silhouettes till the lights come on,
Nothing silhouettes till the lights come on,
Driving down a road, a road that's hidden,
All your faithful memories, your faith for living
Nothing silhouettes till the lights come on,
Nothing silhouettes till the lights come on,
So come on!

You can listen to them on Spotify or get their albums here!
