3-step crockpot meatballs

 if you haven't noticed...i don't do recipes. i don't do recipes in the sense that i don't follow them. get ideas from them though? yes! but measurements, preheating the oven...they aren't for me. life is short! wing it!

so here's another not-really-a-recipe recipe for meatballs (which we used for meatball sandwiches). i guess you could call this "suggestions for when you were thinking about making meatballs...or you had too much ground beef already thawing and now you have to use it for something."

what you need:
ground beef (or ground turkey...but devin doesn't always fall for that. he's a beef guy.)
ranch dressing
hot sauce
breadcrumbs--we've used bread butts and stale chips before. buying breadcrumbs is over-rated.
dried parsley
dried onion flakes (or chopped fresh onion if you're fancy!)
an egg (or a few?)
some milk
whatever else you feel like

what you do:
(start heating up your sauce in the crockpot while you prep the meatballs.)

//1//
add all the ingredients in a bowl, smoosh and mix thoroughly--you don't want the mixture TOO mushy, so add more breadcrumbs if you put too many eggs/too much milk in there.

//2//
form the meat into balls, and microwave them for about 1-2 minutes. rotate them, and then microwave them for another 1-2 mins.

//3//
stick them in the crockpot on high for 2-3 hours (or on low for 4-6), so the flavor from the sauce cooks into the meatballs.

*bonus step!*
get some amoroso rolls and serve up this family easy meal!

what's your go-to easy prep recipe?
