Simple Summer Adventure Checklist

I am so happy summer is here, even if it means I'm generally a sweaty mess! Back in June, I was thinking about how fast time flies and wanted to make a list of SIMPLE things that I wanted to do with my kids before school starts. 

This is not a Pinterest mom's list of matching outfits, difficult crafts, expensive vacations. 

No, no. 

This is a quick list that you can make location-specific to where you are!

Categories

Outside:

• Local trails to walk/hike
• Local biking trail
• Berry picking
• Pick wildflowers
• Plant wildflowers
• Backyard camping
• Pool day with friends (search for local splash pads, too if a pool is hard to find!)
• Bonfire + roast marshmallows

Inside:

• Tie-dye
• Rainy day movie in a fort
• Make juice/smoothie popsicles
• Bake banana bread
• Volcano experiments/eruptions
• Visit a new library
• Rearrange the furniture
• Bowling (check kidsbowlfree.com)

Day Trips:

• Beach day trip (or a lake or whatever's near you!)
• Zoo trip, bonus points if a library/friend has a membership and you can go for free!
• Trip to a local lake
• Kids museum
