office to nursery // the details

shout out to d. lawless hardware for the awesome hooks to use with my shelf (along with the best customer service and shipping speeds! all the praise hand emojis!)

back in january, i shared how we renovated this room from an office space to a nursery. now, 3 months later, we've finished decorating! it seems like themed nurseries have been a big thing recently, but here i am without a "springtime forest adventure with a hint of frolicking through a manly meadow" theme. instead, our theme is normal. that's literally what i'm calling it.

the shelf and the collage wall were our two biggest projects. devin built the shelf--perks of having a husband who's a carpenter--and we used these hooks from the (family-owned!) d. lawless hardware company to make the shelf even more functional (and now i will never shop at home depot again! i'm in love!). the shelf holds all our diaper-changing necessities, is within arm's reach, and turns otherwise dead space into really practical storage! (and that 3-way lamp in the corner? $8 at wal-mart.)

the collage wall is a bit of a mixed bag, and i used small items since the room is pretty small itself. my friend courtney MADE that "greatest adventure" sign. i know, i know. she's brilliantly gifted. our other friends gave us the mint sign that says "from your very first breath, heaven rejoiced at the miracle of God's hands" just after we announced our pregnancy! i made the you are loved canvas and the stained glass feather and arrow, and maybe i'll include our wooden arrow tutorial soon.

the rest of our clothing storage and diaper-changing station are pictured below. having a diaper genie on one side and a little trashcan on the other side has been so helpful!

what projects have you been working on recently? what's your favorite part of the collage wall? :)
