the funky (not-really-christmas) sweater

over at oak and oat's, beth's blog which i loove, she and a few other bloggers choose an article of clothing that month and show off 3 ways to style it. i decided to join in this month, so here goes my christmas sweater styling #tristyleco.

when i came home from teaching and saw devin, he had a totally straight face and very calmly asked me if it was "wacky wednesday" because i was so mismatched. i burst out laughing, because a few kids that day had told me they liked  my sweater! (thus bolstering my courage enough to post this as part of #tristyleco.) i realize maroon corduroys and a thrifted, funky patterned sweater aren't the typical choice... ;)

ignore the super-grain of the pictures--getting home when the sun is setting isn't optimal lighting for this non-fashion-blogger :)

do you have a favorite ugly sweater/christmas sweater?

  2. Thanks, and I agree! I'm hoping to borrow my mom's Christmas sweater-vest (a cardigan with no sleeves...is a vest?) for later in the Christmas season. :)

  4. Thanks! Haha I need the reassurance that it isn't the best contender for a wacky Wednesday ;)

  5. A fellow non-fashion blogger commenting to say that this sweater is awesome! It would hide my post-partum baby bump so well...
