college kids everywhere, isn't summer break from college literally the best invention? can i get an amen? i mean really, you have off from early may to late august.
even though i spent the first seven weeks of my summer taking 2 online courses, it was still a wonderful first half of the summer. i went on beach trips with my sister(s-in-law), did the philly color run, and have put a big dent in the list of shows i wanted to catch up on (breaking bad, anyone?)...
this 5k was the kind of thing where you show up in a white tshirt and after each kilometer, you got blasted with colored cornstarch (which does not wash out of sneakers. lesson learned.) also, fun question for those of you out there who have heard of color me rad, did all the color come out of your armpits? maybe it's just because i sweat like a gorilla in haiti, but whatever the reason, i could not get my armpits to not be purple. for like 3 days.
me and my music teacher sister-in-law went to ocean city, nj one day after a sunday afternoon conversation that went like this:
christy: i really want to go to the beach sometime this summer, since i'm not teaching....
me: how about tomorrow?
christy: how about we check the weather and see if our other sister-in-law can come...
me: ok, so the day after tomorrow?
and then we went. :)
me and lisa did a beach trip last year, so now it's tradition. it's also tradition to get froyo while down the shore :)
